From Florida

Beautiful view. Larger site P4; Marshland is similar to our backyard wetland. A little pricey for a 20 amp hookup with no sewer connection. Atmospher is quiet with "only adult' restriction.
Closest campground to Portland (aside from Cabelas).

Much good, some bad

30 amp back in site (26' RV motorhome with tow). Staff was super friendly and helpful. Park is beautiful, located at edge of a tidal marshland with a small boat launch. Location is quite good as it is far enough from the city to give an impression of wilderness but within a short jaunt to Portland, etc. (Sebago Lake, Bradbury Mountain, the beaches, are all within 15 - 45 minute drive). Though all sites are clean and well kept, it is a small park in a fairly localized area meaning that the sites are close and not very private. The entrance to the park is a two way road with only enough clearance for one vehicle and two ungrated ditches that cross the roadway and are quite jarring to negotiate. Wifi available but only one device per campsite, add'l devices are extra cost. Restrooms, laundry are close to sites, well kept with no charge for use of showers. Stayed for two weeks but had to change sites three times.

This is a lovely Adult Park right on the Scarborough Salt Marsh which lives up to it's name as Wild Duck. At least 20 mallards and 2 new families, one with 8 and one with 4 ducklings.
Everything works great, great WiFi, Cable, very clean rest rooms, laundry is small but everything works great. Level sites and lots of beautiful trees even though we were there at the height of the pollen season.
If you want an beautiful, quiet park very close to Portland and Old Orchard Beach this park is for you. One of the nicest parks we have ever stayed in.

Just Ducky!

Small, quiet, clean and no kids. Didn't mind the close sites as much here due to many happy campers and all adults. Scenery is great and close to everything. Will come again!!

Great for tenting!

We tented one night and really enjoyed it. We rented the kayaks for an hour and enjoyed tooling around in the marsh. There were Great Egrets, Snowy Egrets, Kingfishers, Sanderlings, Plovers and ducks. It was very quiet and picturesque.
The bathroom was clean and had free showers. We didn't use the laundry but it looked good!
The staff was very personable and accommodating.

Didn't Stay
By user-5035017... on 2017-10-23.
We were quoted a rate of $54 per night plus $1 for wifi/cable. We drove thru to check out the grounds and found it to be small and camp sites cramped. For the above reasons and because they could accommodate us for only one of two nights we were wanting to spend in the area, we elected not to stay here.

Forgetable.
By user-5876353... on 2017-10-23.
Calibration moment: "great salt marsh" = Swamp. Nothing special there. Bugs.
As for the campground, supposedly quiet? Folks nearby were entitled seasonal occupants and talked loudly and drunkenly until after 1230 at night keeping others awake until we had to go over and ask them to be quiet so we could sleep, and received back talk about it. Quiet time supposedly starts at 9pm. Nope. The worst.
Sites are all dirt, gets into everything, and campers are only a few feet apart. Packed in like sardines, big time.
Amenities are good; water, sewer, etc, but that should not be hard to achieve.
Traffic in the area is nuts. Crazy busy trying to get around, not a calming peaceful ambiance. More like urban driving than you might imagine Maine to be like.
Strike this from the list of places to return.

Nice stay

Tidy campground just off HWY 1. Adults only, which is good for us. Staff were pleasant to deal with. Assigned site C4, pull-thru with full hookups. 50A not working, instructed to use C5 pedestal. Sites somewhat close together, but still nice wooded area. Near coastal marsh, can smell salty air. Would stay again.

Pleasant Oasis

This campground, I believe, is under new ownership. We made on line reservations and were pleasantly surprised. Didn t feel the spots were crowed at all. Very clean, raked site with clean fire rings. Good picnic table in good repair! Pleasant greeting by owner, very friendly seasonal full time folks and work campers. Tidy, neat and clean. Nights were very quiet. The marsh is great for birding or kayaks (which we did not do). Another time maybe. Close to many things yet off the beaten path. The humps coming in slow down traffic and also help drain water. We have encountered public roads which were worse! Clean rest rooms, laundry and outdoor sink for renters. All well tended. We would definitely return again. Thank you to all the staff!
