| Great Park

Great park right on the Mattawa River. They are in process of levelling sites, upgrading facilities and amentities. We saw new water mats for the kids at the beach. the washrooms are very clean. They are bringing in fill when we were staying. New owners are very nice and helpful. Definately will be staying again.

| Destination Park

Beautiful, well maintained facility on the banks of the Mattawa River just above the confluence with the Ottawa River. Restricted Access Park offers playground equipment, room for kids to roam, a short float trip on the river or access to swim at 2 beach areas. Canoes are available to rent. Access to the extensive ORV trails in the area make this a destination campground. Internet is currently cellular based. The park is in the process of upgrading campground WiFi from just the office area. T-Mobile and Verizon (serviced by Bell, Telus or Rogers) worked for most of our group, issues were equipment based. Rental Cabins are available and a limited number of seasonal sites. Our (and our friends) experience was enhanced with the exceptionally friendly and inclusive seasonal community and park owners. The sites are all grass/dirt but provide a modicum of privacy, the roads have periodic speed bumps provided by the large trees throughout the park and the facilities, while dated, are well maintained and kept clean. We will definitely be visiting this park again.

| Love this place. We keep coming back.

Sid Turcotte is an institution around here. We love the place, the owners are awesome. We got a full hookup riverview site. Swam in the river, cold but good. Diving platforms, floating (splash?) pads on the river. You can rent canoes or float down from the upriver beach. Ice cream and a nice little shop. Nice playgrounds. Close to Tim Hortons and there's shopping downtown. There's a little black shack that sells excellent poutine on the main drag downtown (leave the park, turn left, turn right between the buildings, on the left side (I believe). Will be back again.
