Nice park, amazing staff. Restaurant/Bar on site is good. A few food, gift and RV items in the office. Uber and Lyft or use the park's shuttle to go into town on a short ride. When I saw the roads and the neighborhood I was appreciative of these reviews giving warning as I would have turned around. Nice park and Marina. Clean laundry room. Spend a day at City Park. It's huge! Something for everyone.

A tad on the expensive side

Nice park. A little crowded. Expensive even with Passport America. $43. If you're just passing through, better to go some place else.

This is a nice place to stay, but it is very pricey. Our was for a pull though and it was a weekend .
Saturday was 62.10 , Sunday was 58.50 for a standard pull through and that was a good Sam discount. # 125. The site is plenty big enough. There is dust but not to bad. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. The food at the restaurant is wonderful, seemed high but Lots for you money. We have come from Oregon and this is the most we have paid.

Spent a weekend with family and friends. Not real close to French Quarter but an easy taxi ride for about $20. Nice staff, pool and restaurant! Had a blast!

Dusty
By user-6661098... on 2017-10-23.
Was safe and convenient. The spots were tight but did have foliage between sites. Service was very good. The biggest problem was the dust from the road. It covered our car and motor coach.

Our new home for the winter

Stayed 2016-10-08 to 2017-02-28
We sold our home in June of 2016 and became FT RV'ers. We've never looked back. With family in NOLA we were convinced to consider the South, specifically New Orleans as our snowbirding location. While there are not many options in the area for a 38' 5th wheel we quickly adopted Pontchartrain Landing as our winter home. Safe, clean, reasonably quiet, ample sized sites, and an excellent staff who bent over backwards to accommodate our stay. The only drawback is gravel sites and road which creates a bit of dust with windows open. Small price to pay. We will be back.

Wonderful campground
By user-6123714... on 2017-10-23.
Spent 3 nights. Beautiful park. Wide pads and separated by plantings. Very convenient to French Quarter . Very good restaurant above store.
By user-5273770... on 2017-10-23.
We only stayed overnight and arrived at night so didn't get a complete feel for the park. We were greeted and helped to park by Les, who was very friendly and offered us a lot of helpful info. Beautiful building with bar, food and excellent live music. Shuttle to French Quarter was convenient and only $6 per person.

Great Place!
By user-5864000... on 2017-10-23.
We came in on a Friday evening and enjoyed the music and food at the on-site bar and grille. We had one of the sites directly on the water and would do it all over again! The frontage road getting to the park was a bit rough, but nothing too bad. The next morning we took the shuttle from the park into the French Quarter (yes, you need to purchase a ticket inside the office...we didn't know this. Tickets $6 each, round trip). We ended up grabbing a taxi to get back since we stayed out later than the return shuttle. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area. The bar and grille draws quite a crowd and the band had everyone going. The bartender....well, they could definitely use some help there. She was tending bar both nights and really had trouble keeping things together. Don't expect anything too quickly!

Mixed feelings
By user-5472112... on 2017-10-23.
Stayed 2016-04-11 to 2016-04-14
The positives are the campground is very nicely kept, spacious, well laid out with full hookups (50-amp) service. It is right on the canal across from a beautiful marina filled with beautiful boats.
The negatives are it is quite far from the French Quarter or any other sites and the roads to get to the campground are horrible. The whole campground is stone so you can't pound a stake into the ground to hold an awning so with any kind of wind you can't have your awning open. Campfires are also not allowed. While the marina next door is very nice with lots of nice boats to see they also start work very early with the forklift and machinery running.
I can't speak about much more at the campground because we had 3 straight days of rain with high winds.

Don't let the road to the park and the area fool you, this is a very nice place. Level sites, clean bath house and friendly staff. The food at the restaurant and bar are really good. Drove are towed vehicle to town but park does have a shuttle. Would stay here again if I come back this way.

Nice place has Bar and Restaurant with live music most every night.
By user-5886825... on 2017-10-23.
We went for Mardi Gras and stayed 10 days in spots #7 & #8. It was windy so dusty everywhere except for us near the water. Some nice large boat traffic.
A little pricey, but so your neighbors can afford to have a good time too ;)
There are drink and food specials each nigh and live music most nights. Superbowl was on big screen and fun group.
If you come in from the west, be very careful of the huge dip after you get off the highway right before you turn left at the stop sign. And don't worry about the sketchy road to the Park, you will think you made a wrong turn lol. Shuttle to down town is $6 roundtrip, Uber is about $15 one way. And driving to French Quarter takes 10 minutes and there is plenty of parking. Try Melba's for crawfish, best I ever had !!

Most of the area seems to be very dangerous and third world in nature. I found it odd the rv park and fantastic restaurant were in an industrial area, bit it is a good thing it isn't buried in the hood. There is security and we never felt unsafe at the park. The pool and restaurant were nice and there were daily specials. We even enjoyed bingo night with Captain Sean. The shuttle times were not convenient for us so I drove to the French Quarter. It was a 10 minute drive and I parked near a police station for $5. Not a problem driving to the French Quarter. I would stay there again.

Nice park near by downtown New Orleans
By user-5873339... on 2017-10-23.
Stayed 2017-03-24 to 2017-03-27
The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is the park gets dusty from the grounds. Road entrance from I-10 would lead you to believe that you took a wrong turn due to the industrial section and the rough road. They run shuttles to and from downtown New Orleans, which we liked. Do not follow a GPS! Use the directions on the website. Very nice staff and facilities. We stayed in a 40ft 5th wheel.

We stayed here for a weekend while going to a Saints game. They have a shuttle to the French quarter. They also shuttled is to the game. We had to walk to the French quarter for the shuttle back but it wasn't that far. We didn't book until our arrival date so we were either the overflow area. Campground is nice. A little rough driving in. Our GPS did give us correct directions but based on others I had the directions from the campground handy.

Overall a nice place to stay. They need to do something about the dust..and you have to be careful walking a dog, there are sand burrs everywhere. The food at the restaurant was pretty good. The shuttle to the French Qtr was handy. We would return if we are ever back to the area

Stayed 2018-05-21 to 2018-05-29
Not sure what the previous reviewer means by that.
We stayed here 8 nights and enjoyed it. The entire park is mostly gravel but is level. There is also lots of room between sites. I have a 38ft 5th wheel so after parking it I still had plenty of room to park my truck behind the trailer straight in without sticking out into the street.
It's about 6 miles from the French Quarter so that's convienent.
They have a decent store, clean laundry room and a full bar and restaurant upstairs.
They also have a shuttle, which we didn't take advantage of.
The biggest issue I had is their wifi is horrible. It works if you're up by the store or in the bar. Forget about getting anything in your rig.
2nd biggest issue is I ordered cooler weather when I made reservations and they didn't provide it.
Would definitely stay here again.

Not big rig friendly
By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.
Booked site for 44 ft fifth wheel. Spot provided did not fit our rig. Truck had to parK in roadway Requested another site and was denied. Should have left, but holiday weekend so stayed. Large pot holes. Needs gravel on roadways. Road to park is really rough also. With a lot of rain we were deep in mud and no roadway left without water. No one can get in or out without others moving vehicles.

Marina, RVs and even rooms for vacationers. The pool is for members only. That was not a problem as we were here to see the city. The staff was Very friendly and helpful. You can't beat their shuttle for convenience and price. Restaurant on site. Bonus: a movie about Katrina. We had a pull thru site for ease but I would choose a site along the canal or marina if staying longer. France Rd is rough so we took another's advice and went down Press Rd, past the university and around the park. Trees are trimmed but clearance was close with our 12 ft MH. We have already recommended Pontchartrain Landing friends!
2 things kept it from 5 stars. France Rd and park was not paved. DO NOT let either of these deter you!
By user-5060997... on 2019-08-09.
Best rv park in New Orleans.
I would have given it 5 stars but the roads are gravel and need to be asphalt .
They need to get a better leveling drag for the tractor.
It is not working .
Or just asphalt the roads.
Rain makes the potholes fill with water ...

It s not worth the price

I paid a little extra to have a water site. They put me down by the boatyard and I listened to them drilling a hole for a piling for three days. Also there is no hot water in the showers.

Don't let the road to it scare you, they are fixing it! This is a great park, tiny sites but well landscaped and lit. Waterfront is available. Some sites have wifi. They accept Passport America. There is a restaurant/bar on site, with Captain Sean running bingo on Wednesday. He is a treasure, you can't help but being happy around him. $6 round trip rides to the French Quarter 3 times a day. Bring lots of 1's, everyone in NOLA works on tips.

We lost our reservation at French Quarter RV Resort because of an unexpected repair on our RV. So we ended up here in their overflow lot. So glad we did we ended up being parked on the canal and it had water/electric hook up and they come out to pump your holding tank when needed. Watching boats come in was much better than a big concert wall. Nice restaurant on site and park is nice. We paid $41 a night vs $105 at French Quarter. I liked this place. It may be further out but the area around the French Quarter RV resort is very sketchy we drove by to check it out.

Friendly and helpful staff. Location is great for visiting the city. There is a shuttle service to the city. Within 20 minutes you are in the middle of the French Quarter. We stayed for 2 nights. The spots are of a good comfortable size. The dust was for us less a problem as some reviewers mentioned. We definetly come back when we are in NO.

Campground is at the end of a terrible road. Most Sites are very small and close together. Gravel/dirt sites. Had trouble with electrical but was fixed quickly. Dust was bad until a storm came through then there were big puddles everywhere. They graded the roads quickly after the storms. Very friendly and helpful staff and there are a few very nice suites by the water. 20 minutes to French Quarter.

Terrible park
By user-5277315... on 2019-08-09.
Before my rant...we had high hopes for this park. We paid extra for waterfront with hot tub, bbq, refrigerator and sink. The road I to the park is awful...big holes and dust. In the park is gravel and dirt. Our site...the hook ups are way far front and opposite of traditional hook ups. Without extensions, you're screwed. The hot tub was disgusting. The bbq area had not been cleaned and still had food and stuffing the sink. We complained and they "cleaned" the hot tub...later to find out it doesnt work. The sink, bbq and refrigerator were not cleaned. We didn't receive any refunds (we are willing to pay something but not the amount they charged) because we did not purchase "trip" insurance. Truly a waste of money and unacceptable treatment from a park. We will never come back...

Great Campground Convenient to Downtown New Orlean
By user-4842672... on 2019-08-09.
Stayed 2019-05-30 to 2019-06-02
We paid $48 / night for W/E50/S/C/I with Passport American discount ($83 without). As many have mentioned, the 1.5 mile back to the campground is horrendous and full of holes. The campground offers many amenities including a pool, restaurant and other entertainment. The campground roads are dusty but the sites are level with nice spacing. This was our first time in New Orleans and the young woman in the office was incredibly nice and assisted us with directions, sites to see, etc. We bought the Hop On / Hop Off tour from her and paid $6 / person to take the shuttle into town.
Watch the free movie at the campground about Hurricane Katrina. Pay the $6 / person to take the shuttle into the French Quarter then take the Hop On / Hop Off tour to get a feel for the city. This gave us a nice feel for the city. The next day we drove around ourselves and visited many of the sites affected by Hurricane Katrina. We also took a swamp tour. Finally we spent 8 hours at the National WW II museum and did not get to see everything. It was spectacular! Parking in that area of town is expensive but we went on a Sunday and could park on the street nearby for free.

Perfect Location for visiting the French Quarter

We had a premium back-in which included a screened gazebo with table and chares. The site was paved (with pavers) and wide and long enough for our RV with parking for the tow on the side. Had to unhook. The hookups were convenient and worked fine.
The staff was very nice and helpful.
The park is gated with a wall so we felt very safe.
We were planning on staying longer, but storm Barry had other ideas. If we ever make it back to New Orleans we will definitely stay here again.
