Enjoyable
By user-5243240... on 2017-10-23.
We stayed up on the hill with water, 30 amp, cable television and WiFi. The WiFi is marginal but everything else is great. Dump station is easy access, and management is very friendly. I was very pleased and would stay here again.

Very help staff, also a nice RV Wash on site, we had mechanical problems and they gave us a lot of assistance on where to go to get things repaired (Fireweed down the road 1 miles).
Little tight on turning into your pull through if you are a big rig, cable and wifi worked perfectly.

We give it a 4 star based on what we have encountered in BC and the Yukon. There are two sections; the lower level which is FHU is like previous reviews, a parking lot with tight spaces. We chose this section for full hook up. We are in a 38 ft class A. Some of the spaces were tight but the staff helped us find one that worked just fine. If you don't care about sewage, the upper level has roomy quite spaces. The onsite was and gas was nice. Staff is very nice and helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Horrible campground in full hookup area. Worse than parking lot. The spaces are so close to each other that you have to step over sewer lines to get out the front door. I would never stay again.

Mixed Feelings

The owners of this park are extremely nice and helpful, but boy they get every penny they can by cramming you in here. Cheapest fuel in the area if you are staying there. Minimal free wi-fi, but reasonable charge for more data use. Mechanic and RV wash on site. Photos of the park are misleading. They do have sites like you see in the photos up the hill from the main part of the park, but if you are overnighting and want FHU that's not what you'll get. The parking lot, dirt sites are SO tight and you alternate front to back with your neighbors and your driver's side slides may be just a few inches from your neighbors. Getting in and out with a big rig was NOT easy. The public dump station makes a traffic nightmare. The great, cheap(er) fuel station is right in front of the office, so if someone is using it to fill up their oversized tanks (like we did) you can block someone from leaving until you are done. Laundry is also open to the public when it's open, but the owner thinks it may be "down for the season" due to a plumbing problem. There are things to do in Whitehorse and there's a small Walmart - (one with minimal groceries- so don't plan on buying a banana here), but there is a large Canadian chain store that is similar to a Super Walmart where you can get pretty much whatever you need. Go see the SS Klondike. I'd stay here again if I had to. I stress the owners are quite pleasant and helpful. That and the fuel price really help me give this place 2 stars.

Typical RV park for the area
By user-6449877... on 2017-10-23.
Dirty, dusty gravel lot with spaces very, very close together...16 ft. Wide. I had voltages drop to 110v and plugged into the adjacent pedestal which was OK. Told the office about it and NOT to cram someone into the adjacent site and take my power. They did it anyway and I spent the night up and down running the generator to keep power up. They didn't care. Will not go back.

Pioneer RV

This park is just 5 miles from Whitehorse and an easy drive to town for supplies. We stayed on the lower level which is like a parking lot with full hookups. As a bonus they also have an RV/car wash to get the Alaskan highway off your vehicles. Need an oil change? You can do it here or they will do it for you! The laundry was closed when we were here. Decent wifi and cable. Friendly staff too. It is dusty here.

Quit complaining!
By user-4837344... on 2018-07-06.
Look this place is basically a gravel parking lot on the bottom and nice spaces on the upper level. Tent sites on lower level right next to the highway. There are only 3 RV parks to stay in Whitehorse. This is the second best. We rolled in at about 6. The other places were all booked, but here they had just got 2 cancellations 5 minutes before we got there. One was very narrow, it would have been tight with the slides out. The other had enough room for our slides to be out and park our huge truck right next to it. We saw that about half the spaces were wide and half narrow. Even if we had to take the narrow spot I would have preferred that to Walmart. There were about 35 RVs at Walmart the next morning when we went to get supplies and the parking lot and store were very dirty. After 4 days of dry camping I was grateful to have a long hot shower. They have an RV/truck wash and gas and propane on site. The wash worked great. My only real disappointment was that there laundromat was all boarded and they are still advertising that they have one. The host said it had been closed a long time. I have been in way worse parks.

This place is OK, nothing special, they have many sites so often will have something available, front office is easy to work with, they have discounted gas-3 cents per liter to customers

Worst RV Park in the World

I have read other reviews here about how nice the upper level is. We would not know, since we came with a tour group and were placed head first into a wall of dirt that rises to the upper level. Jammed side-by-side. Barely able to put out our slides. Perpetual dust storm that covered everything. Treated like cattle. Worst experience ever.

We were very pleased with our site, we were to the back from the road, quiet, and trees between sites, 2 dump stations and the laundry room was clean, we will be staying there on the way back
