Just OK - surprised by all the other great reviews
By user-5285709... on 2017-10-23.
We stayed here 2 nights in Feb 2017. Staff was very friendly.
The reasons i rated it a 2 star are the following :
- place lacks some TLC (Tender Loving Care). Water accumulations on a few sites. Driveway asphalt all cracked and unlevelled.
- train track right by the place and train goes by during the night and hoots its horn at every crossing - and there are at least 20 - no joke. So difficult tp get a good nights sleep
- shady area, not very clean nor would i go walking after midnight.
Again, the staff was great!

Very pleased
By user-5848938... on 2017-10-23.
It was raining, and the staff took the time to help me set up my trailer. They stayed with me through the whole process . Something no one else has ever done. Very nice laundry room. Easy access to all the sites we wanted to see. Level sights, free Wi-Fi that actually works, and lots of great trees. I highly recommend.

Best around
By user-5860743... on 2017-10-23.
After checking all over the area KOA seemed to fit the need. Although overpriced it was safe and quiet. They do offer a shuttle to the French Quarter. We chose to use our car and be prepared for high parking costs. Very nice laundry room...did not use the bathrooms. Staff nice. Reason for 3 stars is the overall appearance and condition of the park. Roads are badly needed of repaving. Very rough and it holes. Sites are not level so leveling the coach was a challenge. Many full timers in the park. Could use a really good face lift that would make spending the
$$ more palatable.

Perfect location for 15 min drive into downtown and French Quarter , although parking was $25 for about 2 hrs.Very nice fellow at reception, who insisted on assisting with backing in onto very level , concrete pad.Lovely clean bathrooms.Would definately stay here again when passing through .

Worth the Distance
By user-5829878... on 2017-10-23.
Stayed 2016-06-21 to 2016-06-24
Tucked into a neighborhood, this is an older KOA that is well maintained and established. Lots of beautiful, thick grass for the kids to play their games, tall trees but not intrusive on satellite reception, a nice pool, clean showers/bath house, big laundry room, wifi good the entire time we were here, no issues. All concrete sites although some aren't as level as one would expect, but ... The staff was very helpful at telling us how to optimize our parking on the site and helped us with getting level. Many of the sites are very level. By car it takes about a half hour to get to the French quarter, more liked 45 minutes to an hour if using the public transportation system. However, it was worth it to us to be in a safer area than around the French quarter. We did not use the KOA shuttle, there was a waiting list. The staff mapped out several locations we could park for free and then hop on public transportation. Note that public transportation is nice (St. Charles trolley is what we used) but has numerous stops so it does take some time. All in all, we were pleased with this location and would come here again if In the area. By the way, we usually do not use KOA, we try to find something more affordable. This KOA was affordable for the area.

Made a reservation 1 month in advance got worst site in park. Cement so broken could not level coach or table. Should have not rented this site. Ask to be moved said no but other nice spots had no one in them. Would not go back!

We stayed here in March 2016 on our way to San Antonio. It is very clean, and well cared for. The showers and restrooms are clean and modern.
Although the laundry building looks old on the outside, it is very clean and bright and modern inside. They have a free shuttle to the French Quarter a couple times per day. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The surrounding neighborhood is pretty run down and looks to be rather unsafe, but the campground is fenced in and we were assured by the staff that they have never had any problems in the park. We would definitely stay here again.

New Orleans
By user-6354246... on 2018-05-17.
Great rv park! Great people great spots
No noise from trains or planes.
The city though is something less desirable! Been here times before, the traffic is horrible the number of people is horrible. Might as well go to New York city! NOT!.
