Ok, but it is Yellowstone!!

Sites are tight, full hook ups are OK. Must have screw in sewer connection. There was a pine tree right next to our door that interfered when we left the trailer. The road in and out had major pot holes that doubled as speed bumps so no one was going very fast.
The good news is you are centrally located in the park. A truly magical place. We saw bears every day, along with more Bison then you can count. The terrain, the geysers, the smoking pots, the rivers, the waterfalls, and the animals make this a must see place on any bucket list.
Since all you are going to do is sleep at this camp site, it will do just fine.

Tight spaces

You would think that with as big as Yellowstone is that they could spread these sites out a little. Parking lot in the woods. Too many people. Everywhere.

Crowded but hookups

Who cares that it's cramped? Who hangs out at the RV while in Yellowstone? We were thrilled to get full hookups in this national park. Prepare to back in, there are no pull throughs. There is no scenery other than tall pines, as the lake is too far through the trees to see. It's close to West Thumb Basin, which we loved and visited several times. And it's close to groceries, gas, ice cream and Grand Loop Road, which gets you to all the attractions.

One Attribute "Location"

This place is a !@#% hole.
Pros: LOCATION!!! Restroom just ok, but showers are elsewhere.
Cons: Everything else! Extremely tight sites, uneven pads, electrical power outages, showers are quarter mile away and extremely over used. Roads are extremely holed, not to mention narrow. Walked through mud & water. To top it off it is $55.00/night for a 24-ft trailer.
We would strongly consider other options next visit to Yellowstone.

Nice place to stay

We planned ahead and scored 6 nights here. Full hookups! If we had a motorhome, we would just stay a night once or twice to drain tanks. We would then park at the other campgrounds to reduce driving to see sites. But we have a trailer and dont like moving it so we had a long ride back each evening. Tight camp sites, hard to park a 31ft trailer. Had to get creative. Fishing Bridge General store is well stocked, has a diner in case you don't want to cook. Also has gasoline and auto/rv repair. No campfires or picnic tables. Must take bear precautions and keep a clean campsite. Close to Hayden valley so easy early morning animal viewing.

We were lucky enough to score a 3 night stay here somewhat last minute and enjoyed our time. Since the park takes nearly your entire day, camping in the park isn't about spacious super luxurious campgrounds but rather about the visit to the park. We'd never been before and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Yes, it's a bit tight but I sure appreciated the family of Texans who willing came down and helped us with out truck when we had issues one morning. Great folks! We did use the laundry and it wasn't a long wait at all but the dryers didn't get things super dry. The weather was fantastic and the sites were stunning.

Rest rooms were clean, sites are tight and some roads are very bumpy. Decent value considering you are right in the park. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Sewer hook ups were too high and level with our hook up? With location and cleanliness we would come back.

Sites are tight, roads are pot holes. Full hookup's worked.
Not a social place as you really cannot hang outside since there is very little room. The pot holes are really, really bad!
The good news is you are centrally located to everything in the park! What a magical place!
Since all you are going to do is sleep here it works ok.

A place to park while seeing Yellowstone

Fair campground that is overpriced because it's in Yellowstone. Showers cost extra, spaces are tight. Is convenient if there to see Yellowstone.

Great place to stop and stay. The staff were so helpful and nice. They gave an amazing route for us to really see everything we wanted to in yellowstone. Short walk to the store for stuff and snacks.

The only reason it does not get a 5 star is, it is tight and there are a lot of potholes. That being said, it is Yellowstone and your not there for the park. Great place to stage day trips all through the park. We even saw bison right down the road. In fact they were in the road.
Full hook ups make it comfortable and the staff are very helpful. Would stay here again, definitely.

This Park is in a great location for enjoying Yellowstone but that is the only positive thing I have to say about it. The potholes in the roads are insane, you will never drive on a worse road than in this campground. The sites are very close together and you are not allowed to have a campfire. There are no scenic veiws, just staring at other RV's out all our windows. The sewer connection points are set up higher than your RV so there is no way to arrange it so that you are not dumping uphill. Just an awful RV park but in a wonderful location.

Centrally located in Yellowstone, great location. We had water, power and sewer, but packed in like sardines. We had some great neighbors that made that work ok.

Better have extra heavy duty shocks

The road to the RV parking is dirt/gravel with a zillion holes, ruts, etc. The bugs are beyond tolerable. The bathrooms disgusting. You get all this loveliness for about $45 per night. Lesson learned. Stay outside the park and drive in each day. Wish we would have.

The roads are paved, forest across from sites, convenient location! So glad we got in here, and last minute, too. If full, keep calling back, might get an opening. Close quarters, but only sleeping here. Yellowstone Park is magnificent!

Overpriced-Cramped-Potholes

This RV Park is the only game in town, so if you want hookups in YNP, this is where you have to stay. The street leading up to the RV Park was torn apart and the roads inside the RV Park were fought with many, many potholes. RVers are crammed in like sardines. Likely, you don't go to YNP for the camping but for the wildlife and scenery. RV spaces are way overpriced for what you get.

Full services, very tight spaces. Very dusty because of road work. Luckily we were at the end of the row. We had a better view. Campground well situated in the park. A bison just walk 15 feet from my RV while working on my hot water system, came from nowhere. Don't forget wildlife is all around.
