Came for a month, still here!

I started my full-time RV life this winter and came down to Alabama to get away from the snow. I booked a reservation with Starr for a month over the phone and expected to move on after the first month. Six months later, I am still here at Bay Palms. Stephen and Starr made sure I had anything I needed and made sure I felt like I had a home here. You may move on but you will be back because you cannot beat the service, hospitality and friendships you make here at Bay Palms.

New pool! Updated community area! Great cable channels and office staff as well as an accommodating owner! 10 minutes from the beach - what a great location!! Cant wait to stay again!!

Bay Palm or Bust!

Called in from the road and booked a site. Steve and his wife made sure these two newbees were setup in great order. I highly recommend Bay Palm resort to everyone we speak with on our travels. We came for a few days and stayed for a week. What ever we needed they had a connection and or would order it in for us. They gave us the lowdown on what's happening in the area Plus recommended some awesome restaurants.

What a great location! 10 minutes from Dauphin Island, 20 minutes from Mobile! New pool - GREAT staff, and even bigger and better sites! The owner and his family are willing to bend over backwards to accomdate you!! WOW! Will be back!

I got in after midnight, and the owner was there with his wife, to help me park. He had my water and electric hooked up before I could exit the RV.
I will return again. The facility was clean and well kept. The owner takes pride in his park and is always trying to improve the experience of the customer.

Not a "resort"

The Bay Palms RV Resort is fine for what it is, but by no stretch of the imagination is it a "resort". It is 134 very tight spaces mostly occupied very long term and also used as an RV storage lot. Many of the trailers have permanent wood stairs and decks, most have plants, furniture, pink flamingos, large BBQ grills, etc, typical of people who are staying rather than camping. Many have refrigerators and freezers outside, although they try to hide them with plywood. One person told me that he and many others are there until "at least 2020" as they are part of a construction crew working on a new courthouse in Mobile. So, if you want to stay in a "man camp" combined as a RV/boat storage lot, then you'll be fine. If you're expecting a "resort", you'll be (like us) very disappointed.

Good place to stay yes there is some boats ect being stored there but park is very quiet at night and every one is nice. I stayed July 4th week last year. ReAly enjoyed our stay. BTW I had a 40 ft bummper pull and was able to back into a spot no problem. Only down side is it's not a KOA or resort but real close to beach and mobile. I will come back again.

This park could be so much better if they put some money into updating it. It is a fairly comfortable place to park your trailer except for the amenities. The buildings are old and poorly painted. The bathrooms, especially the toilets and sinks were not cleaned the entire time we stayed here which was a month. The laundry room is very poor, only four washers and four dryers and also not cleaned. The owners seen nice. Perhaps this park would benefit from incorporating a couple of the full timers as volunteers to help manage and clean the park regularly. We felt that our stuff was secure here while we were gone but not sure we would return unless there are some improvements.

We LOVE everything about this park! The owners were very helpful to us being that this was our very first time in an RV! It's clean, nice and extremely close to Dauphin Island and tons of attractions. We are definitely going to return soon!

Came for 2 weeks and been here for a year off and on. the owner is as good as gold. Truly one of a kind he goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is happy!!

What a nice campground we made a mistake only staying one night! We will be back though. Owner is Steve very helpful and nice. Park is clean well kept. Concrete pads lots of extras!! Thanks for a great stay.

Home away from home

We arrived at Bay Palms RV Resort mid January (2014) with intentions of staying a week. At the end of the week, we extended it to a month after which we extended it two more months. When we departed in April, it was almost like saying goodbye to family after a long visit. The owners, Steven and Starr, make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible and try to accommodate your every need. The park environment is very friendly and once settled in, you quickly become a part of the "RV Neighborhood". We're looking forward to our return next January.

We enjoyed our stay, some of the permanents were gone for the holiday. Very quiet. Amanda in the office was very nice & helpful! Only thing, most of the residents DON'T pick up after their dogs!
Nice concrete long back ins. Pool looked nice!
Enjoyed taking our puppies to Dauphin Island beaches. Found a great little spot to eat right on the water. JT'S Sunset grill, great grouper po' boy, slaw & fries!
This is a small fishing town area, I'd say. Nothing going on around the area, but some great fresh fish in the few
restaurants.

Nice place, good folks

Quiet place. Fairly large pull through sites. Good location if you like to fish ! They have a good fish cleaning station. Also they put out a nice Thanksgiving dinner the weekend before the holiday. There are a fair amount of long term campers and some storage going on but nothing negative. We will stay next time we are in the area.
