Warning Baton Rouge koa
By user-5625608... on 2017-10-23.
While traveling back to Florida from our Colorado home my wife called the Baton Rouge koa and made reservations for the night, the receptionist assured us they had room for our 45 ft motor home. She convinced my wife to purchase a koa membership for savings and priority, well long story short we drive 600 miles the last 100 in pouring rain to get there, and low and behold our reserved spot was taken and no solution but to credit our credit card back. Skip this very poorly run koa...and don't be suckered into purchasing a koa membership, it means nothing!

We camp here for every home lsu baseball and football game. We love it! The office staff is very nice and accommodating. All paved pads and fairly new roads. Will be booking our football dates soon!

Texas Jayhawker
By user-5772012... on 2017-10-23.
An older KOA with the standard facilities you would expect. Well cared for but some parking pads and other facilities are showing wear and tear. WIFI worked well. Many sites looked like they were occupied by long term residents with lots of "stuff" stored under and around their RV's. This detracts from the overall appearance of the park. We did not make reservations and were taken to a convenient long site for our 2 night stay. With more care this could be a 4-star park.

Management sucks
By user-5056505... on 2017-10-23.
I have made two separate reservations to stay at this koa site. Its now going on 3 months as I call to check on a site availability. The old lady at the desk tells me that my name is not on the waiting list. But I informed her that I watched her physically write my name and phone number down on a random page in a note book while. This is not a proper reservation log keeping. So the answer I got back was that she had 1 spot available and that she would call me back after making a few phone to calls. I never received a phone call.

Only stayed 1 night but gold amenities. New bathrooms. Fenced dog play area. Would stay again.

It's a KOA
By user-5840979... on 2017-10-23.
Stopped on way home. You know, for $60 you can stay in a hotel. Their excuse is that they are the only one between here and Lafayette, LA. Well, stayed at the one in Lafayette and they only changed me $47. They look the same. Guess this is why we don't normally stay at KOA.

More expensive

Stayed 2018-02-07 to 2018-02-08
Heavy rains caused us to use KOA. They were above water. 60$ stay. Ugh

Stayed 2018-10-26 to 2018-10-28
The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The showers were clean. The park was for the most part quiet and the other people staying at the park friendly. Good mix of families and retired. I would stay again.

Old, but well maintained

This KOA is old, but well maintained. It is very close to Bass Pro. The staff seemed friendly. We would stay here again next time we need an overnight place.

Nice
By user-4627692... on 2019-08-09.
We stayed here on April 1st od 2019 to our destination and on April 6th back from out destination. The place was a little old, but nice facilities. The pool wasn't open just yet, but looked nice. Lots to do right outside the park. Nice restaurants, shopping and things all within very short distances. We have been talking about going back to see more here. The only thing we had issues with was the wifi on site being spotty most of the time. So hard to watch and relax with a show in the evening on a Amazon firestick from running around all day.
